Erie Insurance Tops 50 Most Trustworthy – 2014

ALLCHOICE INSURANCE CARRIER PARTNER, ERIE INSURANCE, NAMED ONE OF AMERICA’S 50 MOST TRUSTWORTHY FINANCIAL COMPANIES

 

Forbes recently released its 2014 list of America’s “50 Most Trustworthy Financial Companies”!  The list, put together by GMI Ratings, reviews the accounting & corporate governance behaviors of over 8,000 publicly-traded companies in North America.  GMI considers a number of factors when analyzing the companies (including but not limited to):

  1. High Risk Events
  2. Revenue & Expense Recognition Methods
  3. SEC Actions
  4. Bankruptcy Risk

The aforementioned factors are used to make up the AGR (Aggressive Accounting & Governance Risk), which is the final composite score by which companies are ranked.

Thankfully, but no surprising, two of ALLCHOICE Insurance’s top carriers, Erie Insurance & Cincinnati Financial, received the best scores in both the large & mid cap segments (both had AGR’s of 99)
