Colfax Persimmon Festival

Location: Historic Stafford Farm

When: Early November

The annual Colfax Persimmon Festival takes place on a historic farm that has structures from the early 1800s or before. This is a great family festival that celebrates historic farming and the native American persimmon. Here you will find fun for the whole family, with exhibits, arts and crafts, demonstrations, and lots of persimmon-themed products to taste and buy. 

The Greensboro Summer Solstice

Location: Lindley Park 

When: October

This family-friendly festival was created in 2005 when a group of creatives got together to celebrate the beauty of nature, the diversity of their community, and the power of the female spirit. The Summer Solstice hosts over 9,000 attendees each year. You’ll find many fun things to do, including visiting the marketplace full of local artists and merchants, musical performances, parade, drum circle, and don’t miss the fire finale!

Carolina Wedding Show

Location: Greensboro Coliseum Complex

When: August

If you are planning an upcoming wedding, you don’t want to miss this annual event! It’s a one-of-a-kind wedding show that will allow you to immerse yourself in everything weddings. You’ll find plenty of ideas and inspiration from cakes and caterers, to fashion, music, and photographers. Triad Vegfest 

Location: Center City Park

When: August

This is a great festival for people of all ages looking to begin a vegan lifestyle. Be sure to check out all the plant-based crafts, gifts, and of course, food. You’ll also find lots of booths providing education on a vegan life, youth activities, and other entertainment. 

Vintage Market Days

Location: Summerfield Farms

When: End of November

Vintage Market Days is an indoor-outdoor market that features an upscale vintage theme. It’s much more than a flea market as you’ll find antiques, art, handmade items, home decor, clothing, food, jewelry, and so much more. It takes place on the weekend, so it’s a great way to spend time with the family. 

The Craftsmen’s Christmas Classic

Location: Greensboro Coliseum Complex

When: Thanksgiving Weekend

This festival has been a tradition in Greensboro for 45 years! It’s consistently voted among the top 100 shows in the USA. In fact, it’s voted #1 in North Carolina and “Top 5” in the nation. It was created by a local jewelry maker to allow artists to stage their custom designs and meet with people from the community in person. Today, the event features works and designs from hundreds of craftspeople and artists from all across the USA. You’ll find something from every style you can think of, and some artists even showcase their creation process!

Greensboro Holiday Parade

Location: Downtown Greensboro

When: Early December

The Greensboro Holiday Parade has been a tradition for nearly 40 years. It features Macy’s Parade style balloons, floats, bands, dance teams, and more. This is the only parade in the state that has these styles of balloons. It averages over 60,000 visitors who enjoy the drill and dance teams, professional floats, and the area’s best school bands marching along downtown streets.
